Agape Television Network (ATN) is solely run with the tithes and offerings of the church, Agape Life Church (ALC) and the patrons from Tanzania. A total faith project with only local support.

Birth of the church

Agape Life Church was birthed after the station began in 2001. Viewers (mainly from mainline churches, muslim and hindu backgrounds) had been seeking for spiritual help after watching the television programs, being born again, healed and delivered. Thus starting a church was essential to help these people spiritually. Now after two years and half the church has grown to more than 1,300 adults and 300 children. 75% from mainline churches, 20% from muslim background, 3% from hindu background and 2% from other born again churches. 300 children are being fed every Sunday as service ends late due to too many needs for healing and deliverances. People are being set free through the television programs as they watch. Every Sunday about 40-50 people give their lives to Jesus in the church. However, many more are confessing Jesus in their homes via the local television program and TBN.

Now, the Tanzania Broadcasting Commission has granted 4 other frequencies to reach 4 more regions in Tanzania. Right now ATN has the second largest viewership in the country of about 6 million people covering entire Dar-es-Salaam, the Coastal belt and Zanzibar Island. ATN plans not only to reach these four regions, if finances are permitted ATN wants to reach the entire nation and Africa via Satellite.

Thus now ATN is seriously looking for support to reach these 4 regions and the entire nation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. ATN's mission is Mat.24:14 - And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
